Cat goes home!!!! Cat is discharged from the hospital and gets to go home with Mommy, Daddy and Granmami 🙂

The doctor had originally estimated 4 to 5 weeks. Cat exceeded all milestones and gets to go home “early” at 25 days (we call it day 26, because we call her birth day Day 1, but it is actually the 25th day). She is still over a month away from her due date of March 21. She gets to enjoy the world early!

Hooray for Cat!!!

The NICU journey is at an end!!

Big day! Cat gets her Car Seat Test. This is a 90-minute period in which we leave her in her car seat attached to the monitors. The doctor needs to be sure she can sit in a car seat for enough time to get transported home when the time comes, without any problems breathing, staying warm, or with her hear rate. Passing this test puts her one step closer to going home! She passed with no issues.

Big day! Cat graduates from an incubator to a bassinet…

Flavia escapes the NICU and hospital to attend her baby shower hosted by Brooke Russo and Brooke’s mom Nadine, at Brooke’s gorgeous home pictured below, Granmami Mariela (Flavia’s mom), Gramma Jane (Jason’s mom), and Auntie Carolina (Flavia’s sister). A great time was had by all!!

While Granmami and Auntie Carolina get things ready for the baby shower, Cat spends time with her friend Nurse Lynn. Nurse Lynn brought Cat some moose booties from her vacation the previous week in Utah!
